Boddhi Satva – Ngnari Konon (Feat. Oumou Sangaré)

Boddhi Satva’s Invocation has been ten years in the making and it certainly shows. It is a varied collection of accomplished songs, all, impressively, produced from the confines of Satva’s home. There’s a bit of Reggae (Enemies and Jah Sanctuary), House (Who Am I) and RnB (Because I Know) on there, but if pressed to choose, we enjoyed the African sounds the most. Grammy-winning Oumou Sangare makes a show-stopping appearance on Ngari Konon and on Nankomandjan, Mangala Camara’s sporadic vocals alternates between the wobbling base almost as if the two are playing off each other

Snoop Lion – La La La

If Cannabis were ever to have a global ambassador, Snoop Dogg’s claim for the position is as good as anyone’s. Now he’s gone one step further and launched a Reggae side-project called Snoop Lion, producers by Major Lazer. La La La is the first track and was released in the last few days.

Alt-J – Fitzpleasure (The Internet of Odd Future Remix)

Alt-J’s debut album An Awesome Wave is hands down one of our favourites this year. If you’re still yet to hear it, head straight for our review here, after reading this. It’s not just us who like it; they’ve been getting some serious love all over the interweb. So it’s not surprising the first official remix from the album is courtesy of some very credible players.

The xx – Angels

A few months ago we brought you the first demo from The xx after their Mercury winning debut album. Since then, they’ve been touring and a number of videos have emerged of new songs from the shows. Just moments ago however, the first official release has surfaced.
