Monday Morning Mixtape 385

Meet the week with soundtrack vinyl cracks and spiritual jazz, to 70s Iran psychedelic and low-fi pop.

This week is curated by filmmaker and artist Luke Seomore who produces and releases music under his Blessed Are The Hearts That Bend project.
Behind the camera, Seomore makes documentaries, music videos, installations and feature films, while as BATHTB he also hosts a monthly radio show ‘Echoes of Nature’ a mixture of nature and ambient, mediative music. The latest album Sadness Be Dammed he describes as ais a soundtrack to a non-existent film.

In his own words ” I wanted the mix to induce a hypnagogic state, hypnagogia “is the transitional state of consciousness between wakefulness and sleep”. I love that dream-like feeling, flashes of energy and clarity mixed with a woozy, warm sense of fuzziness. Crackly old soundtracks intercut with moments of spiritual jazz, lo-fi electronic and blissful ambient.”

Grab your copy of the Sadness Be Dammed LP over on Bandcamp and catch some of BATHTB’s visuals on the video of the single ‘Cactus
