Reconnect with harmony-full 70s soul and electronic 80s funk to joyous free-jazz and 2004 neo-soul.
This week is curated by LA artist and master assembler of soulful, jazzy and beat-heavy productions, Kiefer. A collaborator with the likes of Anderson Paak and Moeses Sumney, has built up a long list of fans as well as a cult following of his work. He releases his third album When There’s Love Around through famed label, Stones Thow later this month; and with the likes of Sam Wilkes, Carlos Nino and DJ Harrison featured in the credit’s, you can just imagine how special this release, recorded with a full live band, will be.
In his own words: “This mix includes sounds that have inspired me over the years, and some sounds I’ve come to know more recently, as well. I included some soul joints from the 70s, some fusion, some 60s jazz, and lastly, some neo-soul – a wide variety of stuff from many corners of Black American Music.”
When There’s Love Around is released 27th August via Stones Thow, preorder your copy here.
