Premiere: Nikki Nair – Mango

In response to the ongoing COVID-19 crisis in India, we’ve teamed up with Daytimers – a UK-based collective which celebrates South Asian artistry – to release a compilation featuring tracks from artists of South Asian heritage, with all profits raised being distributed between several trusted charities providing much-needed relief on the ground.

Proceeding Daytimers’ first charity compilation in aid of Restless Beings, DT002 brings together 15 acclaimed and up-and-coming artists, including Kindness, Pooja B, Suchi, Nahi Mitti and Ayesha, as well as members of the Daytimers crew, for a 14-track release that spans all corners of the electronic music spectrum.

Tennessee-born, Atlanta-based DJ and producer Nikki Nair has been making waves over the last few years, releasing music on the likes of Scuffed Records, Banoffee Pies and Gobstopper, to name but a few. On ‘Mango’ he delivers a slice of sugary DnB, that draws you in with sugary vocals and crisp percussion before the revving bass line hits.

Profits will be distributed evenly to the below charities through Mumbai-based music and culture agency Wavlngth’s fundraiser: Hemkunt Foundation, Goonj and Citta India.

DT002 will be released on Friday 18th June via Daytimers Bandcamp. Artwork created by anu.
