Monday Morning Mixtape 314

Nod from UK and US hip hop to New Orleans jazz fusion, Canadian Jazz trumpet and west coast house.

This week is curated by Kentish Town hip hop duo OthaSoul (Louis VI and Dozer Carter), who have collaborated with and supported the likes of Tom Misch, Poppy Ajudha, Talib Kweli and Slum Village. The release their Return of The Soul EP, this Friday after a four-year hiatus, filled with socially-conscious lyricism and soulful production.

In Louis VI’s words: “Pretty proud of this one considering I had no practice and literally came straight from the hospital to the decks and recorded the mix, was a bit of a “things are finally looking up” euphoric celebratory out of hospital vibe!” – returning from a leg muscle injury.
