Monday Morning Mixtape 309

Swim from 70s Harlem and French-hailing jazz to 60’s African soul and 70’s Brazilian folk.

This week is curated by Tim Doyle, AKA Chiminyo, London based drummer/producer and percussionist. Tim has released with Gearbox records and is a member of London jazz outfit Maisha who have a new record out with legendary saxophonist Gary Bartz.

In his own words “This playlist is mainly centred around some of my favourite tunes of Gary Bartz, some of my favourite tracks that he’s guested on and artists he was associated with and using these as pinpoints throughout a mix with funk and jazzy flavours, with an obligatory visit to brazil because I couldn’t help myself.”
