Back in November we gave you guys the scoop on Danish-born/Stockholm-based house newcomer Anders and, premiering the first track from his debut 12” vinyl release Love. This month sees its long-awaited release via mood and groove specialist new label Brown Fat (shouts to Amanda), and we’re back to give you another taste off the 6-track EP odyssey.
Continuing in his precision style of jazzy harmonies, acoustic samples and complex rhythms, the title track opens with beautifully arranged soft key chords that fade into a back-beat groove with the help of a double-bass loop that forms real body in the track. Amen-style cymbal hiss, heady piano riffs and violin strings are interspersed with breathy vocal snippets and African-influenced drum patterns, pushing and pulling with a beat that falls in and out, layering stronger and stronger each time. Prepare yourself for five minutes of jazzed up dance-floor groove just the way we love it.
