Premiere: Bakradze – Message from Home

At the beginning of the year we were greatly humbled to premiere Bakradze’s hypnotic ‘Quiet Loop’ from the debut Ritual in Transfigured Time EP on newly formed label, Transfigured Time. Soon to release a third EP under his Bakradze moniker, the multi-talented Gacha is set to amplify the ripples which still resonate from the previous bodacious bass riffs and sedative piano chords.

Bakradze elevates states of mind further with his latest Message From Home EP. The release hits notes and melodies from outer space, and is aptly homed with Bristol-based label Space Hardware; a project led by Hypercolour‘s boss Jamie Russell. Flexing again his flare and ear for sweet and soulful phrasing, all four tracks on the EP teleport the listener to another magical star cluster, but none more-so than the title track and our favourite, which we are delighted to give you the first listen of.

From its outset, the compelling ‘Message From Home’ strikes up a Floating Points-esque groove, and comes into its own with a repeating synth hook under a strong, warm kick. This creates the perfect atmosphere for spacious guitar and echoing intermittent percussion. Establishing himself as a Stamp favourite, we couldn’t recommend this more enough.

Message From Home is released 13th July via Space Hardware.
