Today’s track comes all the way from Adelaide, Australia by new name on the block Lonelyspeck aka Sione Bouts Teumohenga. Part of the London-based PLZ Make It Ruins label headed by STW favourite Vegyn, ‘Given’ is the fourth track off Sione’s woozy future-R&B Presence EP that dropped last month. In-keeping with the label’s ‘Soy-Based’ vibe (first coined by avid-fan James Blake on his BBC radio residency earlier on in the year), the track wraps a bubbling fizz around spacey vocals and warm chords that gives off a wayward nostalgic fragrance so airy it will almost make you float. A perfect soundtrack for today’s sunny-but-bloody-freezing conditions.
