We haven’t heard from Nightwalk Records since February, but the Bristol-via-Paris label are back with their third release and we’re delighted to bring you a premiere. This time round, they look to the services of a STW favourite, who we’ve long been singing the praises of. One of our Ones To Watch for 2014, Admin has been responsible for our of our most popular Bristol Spotlight mixes and has supplied stellar sets for our parties with Andrès and after Love Saves The Day. Outside the STW bubble, he’s been making waves with releases on on Futureboogie and their white label Boogie Futuro, as well as Chasing Unicorns and Glasgow Underground. His effort for Nightwalk Records is slightly more heads down than his recent work, but fits the mission statement of Nightwalk perfectly: to pay homage to ”the solo cigarette…the slowed walk”.
If you’ve listened to previous releases, you’ll know the artwork is always an important aspect for each Nightwalk release, with label boss Harry Buggé supplying his own photography. For NWR003, he plays on the idea of nature’s daily cycle – sunrise, water and trees, yet in an urban setting, which hints towards each citizens’ daily routine. Another string to add to a Nightwalk bow that is making some sweet music at the moment.
