After another highly successful year of Simple Things, the organisers have announced their extended programme of shows, talks and art installations taking us deep into winter.
A night of boundary-pushing experimental music is assembled at Bristol’s IMAX from on the 23rd November. Fatima Al Qadiri will be premiering her live AV show Ja7eem, featuring fellow visual artist Emmanuel Baird. Supporting will be Pan Dajing with the UK premier of her new project Fist Piece and multi instrumentalist Kayla Pinter will be performing a world exclusive of her AV show, Infinite.
The next evening on the 24th November will see Wolfgang Voigt’s seminal project, GAS, performing an immersive and intense show with his trademark avant-garde compositions; certainly a major date in the diary considering the project will be bringing with it its first album in 17 years, Narkopop.
They join a programme that includes Mogwai’s return to Colston Hall on 3rd February, Fatima Yamaha’s live show at the Marble Factory on the 7th and GoGo Penguin presenting their new album, A Humdrum Star, at Trinity Centre on the 9th.
