Having launched Duke’s Distribution with an album late last year, L.A. producer Grant unveils a spring time birth for the label’s second release. Theory of Movement is a new collaborative project Dan Piu, who’s sparingly released techno, electro and OG deep house since the late 90s. Together, their self-titled album is a triple LP offering of roller after gently breaking roller. On ‘Out West’, the burst of blues vocals recalls early St Germain, while the patient ebb and flow in between is a thing of beauty that Frank & Tony or Sprinkles would be proud of.
Theory of Movement LP is out now – buy from Lobster Records and Juno.
