Not a lot of information exists on Liem but we do know the Hamburg producer has created some of this year’s most soulful club-friendly tracks.
Sampling Fusion Groove Orchestra’s ‘If Only I Could’, Liem’s groove laden ‘If Only’ is refined and seductive, from the opening chord to the last. The rich, soulful refrain, “If only I could / I’d make this world a better place”, is carefully layered on top of a deep, silky bassline and thumping kicks, reworking the sample to encapsulate the magic of US garage in a perfect homage.
