Dimension Sounds – Soundtrack to Dimensions Festival, is a collaborative project between dance music institutions Dimensions Festival and CDR, returning this year on its very first vinyl pressed format with acts K15 and FYI Chris both confirmed to feature.
The project challenges willing producers to create an original track that embodies the festival whilst using samples from a collection of over 120 field recordings of local sounds submitted from across the globe. Sounds recorded across the continents were collected as part of the initial Local Audio phase of the project, providing a diverse library of sound for boundless creativity.
London talent K15 of Wild Oats and WotNot Music and duo FYI Chris previously releasing on Rhythm Section and CHURCH imprints have stepped up to the plate and their sample inspired creations will be joined on the release by one lucky producer. Keeping in line with the inspiring work of CDR for supporting new artists, the final place on the release is open to submission from all budding artists, with additional earnings from selection not to be sniffed at.
