Boom Clap Bachelors are a collective of producers, live musicians and DJs out of Copenhagen making magical music – think Broken Social Scene but with more emphasis on Soul elements. They formed in 2005, but featured track Løb Stop Stå (Google translated as ‘Run Stop Stand‘) was released on Plug Research (Exile, Bilal, Szjerdene) back in April last year. Stirring vocals come from Coco Maleika (Quadron) that sit perfectly over some chilled out Trip-Hop vibe production which, together, is very reminiscent of Thievery Corporation’s Shadows of Ourselves (a pretty big feat in our book). The video for Løb Stop Stå has Coco riding in the back of an open-top convertible showcasing a range of interesting headwear – hit us up if you know where to cop that animal hat.
