Premiere: worriedaboutsatan – Baychimo

It’s said that when deprived of one or more of ones’ senses, it can heighten the others that remain.

Marking their first full release since 2009, Worriedaboutsatan seem to accomplish these parallels as they mould darkness into landscapes like the visceral picture formed in one’s mind from surrounding noises when suddenly unable to see. On Even Temper, Thomas Ragsdale and Gavin Miller transport the listener to unknown realms of the conscience with their wondrously dark and atmospheric compositions and we’re delighted to premiere our pick from the album.

‘Baychimo’ commands the headspace with expansive reverb; a laboured techno-thud keeps the track moving whilst a perpetual percussive line played on glitchy synths builds the pieces’ intensity. With added textures from subtle panning and ethereal murmurings and crackles, worriedaboutsatan gently lull you into their woozy world.

Even Temper is released on 16th March 2015 This Is It Forever.
