Tropical Techno artist Milo McBride is a new one for us. Hailing from New York, it’s clear the producer has intellect to match his musicality. Sonically, he combines deconstructed digital sounds with organic instrumentation, field recordings and his own vocals. He’s also composed music in Wave Field Synthesis, a new audio technology that creates three-dimensional audio holograms, and exhibited his experiments at Sónar Barcelona 2012 and the 2013 Venice Bienale.
The track FLAZ is the first single off his debut EP RUINZ, forthcoming on Parisian soundtrack label Ventura Records. Set to be a “landscape of futuristic lounge-utopia drenched in WiFi and e-blunt vapor”, we’ve gotta say we’re pretty excited.
Milo will be playing his first Boiler Room set in Paris this summer as part of a Ventura Records takeover, so watch this space very closely. His EP will be released through Ventura Records (Paris) digitally and on a limited-edition chrome cassette tape. Keep it locked here at Stamp for more info.
