In Bristol alone, never mind the rest of the UK, there is enough house around to get you a little disillusioned. Outboxx, however, are one name to constantly pay attention to. Made up of Jake Martin (also known for his solo work as Hodge), Matt Lambert and, unofficially, Naomi Jeremy on vocals, they specialise in house music driven by warmth and melody. Having gained favour on Immerse Records, Idle Hands, Brstl, Futureboogie and Local Talk with a string of strong releases, their RA Podcast last year announced them as a force to be reckoned with in UK dance music. Well into summer now, Outboxx seemed the perfect candidates to pick out ten of their favourite sunshine tracks for us. Listen to the playlist below as you read their thoughts or, if you prefer, also listen, like and share on Soundcloud.
Catch Outboxx live on Friday at Farr Festival, 17th-20th July. Weekend and day tickets available here.
1) Outboxx – Sunshine Mills
Obviously …..

One of the best tracks ever but only to be played at the perfect moment.

This track is summer time, sets the perfect mood and can’t help but make you smile.

Tops off.
6) Souls of Mischief – 93 til Infinity
One of the best hip hop tunes of all time.

Love the chop on this, great tune.

Can’t pick one, love them all. [we made a playlist of all three here, to help you decide yourself!]

Outdoor anthem.

And one for the sunset.
