Fools & Fables is an Amsterdam vinyl-only label just two releases in and already standing tall. Their acclaimed debut release with Belfast’s Maricopa combined hazy, blissed out deep house with chopped up samples on the b-side. FF002 looks to the talents of French producer Closed Paradise with two stunning pieces of balearo-beatdown and we’re delighted to host the a-side, Jungle Goddess. Steadily building at sub-100 bpm with bells jingles and guitar notes, it’s worth the wait for the male vocals to be introduced around the four minute mark. Like the gentle piano notes and vocals of Matthias Heilbronn’s Have Mercy stopped us in our tracks last year, so too has Closed Paradise done with Jungle Goddess.
