Salerno, Italy isn’t renowned for its thriving house scene but Giovanni Damico serves as a pretty solid ambassador. The self-taught musician, DJ and producer also runs his own imprint White Rabbit Recordings and over the last year has quietly been putting out a series of stellar releases. Fresh Meat, Seven Music, Geography and Landed are just some of the underground labels who have fought for his signature, and it’s a track released by the latter that really caught our eye. Hidden on the b-side of Darwin’s Theory EP, the balearic feel of its title track is slightly removed from the straight up 4/4 dancefloor killers on either side. Funk and soul ooze out of its every orifice, propped up by a elegant female vocals and we’re delighted to have an exclusive full Soundcloud stream. Drawin’s Theory was one of the most slept on summer anthems of 2013, so we’re pushing for it to be properly recognised in the coming one.
