Having already made a mark on the scene in her home of Montreal, producer and DJ Honeydrip is now capturing ears across the globe with her debut EP Anti-Ego. Released last summer, the four-track outing was inspired by the symbiosis of Black culture and electronic music, and sees her merge elements of dancehall, techno and UK bass.
As a follow up to the release, she’s invited five artists to put their own spin on the original tracks. Each producer reimagines Honeydrip’s sonic world, including MISH, Ouri, Sim, Lukro and Korea Town Acid, who takes the sounds of ‘Brand New Flava’ – a collaboration with King Shadrock – into atmospheric, subterranean realms.
Anti-Ego Remixxx is out on 14th January.
