Enigmatic artist Private Guy steps into the limelight for his first solo EP on Kajunga Records. As co-founder of the record label and party series, he hasn’t been keeping himself completely concealed, offering up a handful of contributions to various artist releases via the label. It’s through these tracks that he’s proven himself to be an agent of all things deep.
His sentiment towards old school Detroit and Chicago house and electro, luscious melodies and constructing atmosphere soundscapes are spread throughout his debut EP The Liquid Sun. On ‘Animals At Play’ the Minneapolis-based producer creates an eerie scene filled with spectral sounds. The track also takes cues from the hip hop universe with its sparse 808 drums that make for an intriguing and captivating crossover into darker and moodier sounds.
The Liquid Sun EP comes out on 30 November.
