Premiere: Daytimers – Tere Dar Par Sanam (Crying in the Club Refix)

In response to the ongoing COVID-19 crisis in India, we’ve teamed up with Daytimers – a UK-based collective which celebrates South Asian artistry – to release a compilation featuring tracks from artists of South Asian heritage, with all profits raised being distributed between several trusted charities providing much-needed relief on the ground.

Proceeding Daytimers’ first charity compilation in aid of Restless Beings, DT002 brings together 15 acclaimed and up-and-coming artists, including Kindness, Pooja B, Suchi, Nahi Mitti and Ayesha, as well as members of the Daytimers crew, for a 14-track release that spans all corners of the electronic music spectrum.

It’s only right that Daytimers shared the musical fruits of their labour as part of DT002. The collective come together for a flip of Anu Malik’s beautiful composition ‘Tere Dar Par Sanam’, lifted from the 1993 film Phir Teri Kahani Yaad Aayee, morphing it into a fluid DnB take that’s both elegant and emotive.

Profits will be distributed evenly to the below charities through Mumbai-based music and culture agency Wavlngth’s fundraiser: Hemkunt Foundation, Goonj and Citta India.

DT002 will be released on Friday 18th June via Daytimers Bandcamp. Artwork created by anu.
