After seeing out 2020 with releases from Russell E.L. Butler and James Banguara, NYC mainstay Mister Saturday Night deliver their first release of the new year, choosing to keep it local once again with an instalment from Nowadays family member Love Letters, real name Maxime Robillard.
Hailing from Vermont and now based in New York, Maxime straddles two different sonic worlds — under his given name and as Hypnotic Spa he dabbles in abstract, ambient textures, while Love Letters is reserved for his techno and house leaning pursuits.
It’s the latter sounds that rein supreme on his new EP, ‘Beyond High Demand’ — a five-tracker that moves through the motions, travelling from whirring techno to shuffling syncopated rhythms, tripped-out electronics and fuzzy organ-infused house.
‘Beyond High Demand‘ will be released on 19th March digitally, with vinyl to follow. All Bandcamp vinyl orders will also receive a special limited edition poster designed by Boot Boyz.
