While clubs across the world remain bolted shut, the few already running labels are relishing the opportunity to still show sparks of activity under lockdown. Among them is Berlin club Sameheads, who release their fourth vinyl compilation this month, titled ZEUG! It features friends of the venue joining forces in new and unheard ways across four spaced-out signals to future dance floors. ‘Steel Dub’ sees Silvia Kastel and Wilted Woman deploy steel drums as both melody and rhythm with results that fall somewhere between the polyrhythmic layering of Joe and the dread-filled DMZ catalogue.
