Premiere: Graham Van Pelt – Sense Appeal

Hot on the heels of their latest offering – the tropical-tinged club workouts of Closet Yi – London-based label No Bad Days team up with Montreal’s Arbutus Records to bring you the tender stylings of singer-songwriter Graham Van Pelt.

Having started out releasing psychedelic pop under his Miracle Fortress moniker, the Toronto-based producer turned his attentions to electronic music, putting out his first album Time Travel with Arbutus in 2018.

Marking his sophomore release, Sense Appeal – which also features reworks from Yu Su, Gene Tellem and twin mix engineers Mark and Matt Thibideau – takes its inspiration from the house and disco pioneers that informed Van Pelt’s musical path, the likes of Larry Heard, Vincent Floyd and Arthur Russell, who’s influence permeates the vocals that float effortlessly atop the two original cuts.

Sense Appeal will be released on 17th April on No Bad Days – grab your copy from their Bandcamp.
