Recently dubbed by DJ Mag as a label to watch for 2019, Leeds-based imprint Enclave Records continue their ethos of supporting up and coming artists with a split EP from Ausburg-native Mode Panta and Swedish producer Niklas Andersson. Calefaction marks the label’s sixth release since they began in 2017 and, across four tracks, sees both producers dive deep into the realms of dub techno.
Andersson’s ten minute closer on the flip is our pick. The founding member of the 1991 collective proves he’s just as comfortable soundtracking the after night sessions as he is producing club-ready cuts; ‘Odyssey Of Social Construction’ softly ushers you along on it’s groove laden with bright synth chimes and warm echoing chords – a perfect soundtrack for those midnight hours.
