Sligo boys Brame & Hamo, now based in Berlin, have been fuelling the scene for the past two years with their multi-faceted house exploits. Having made quite the impression on the European circuit, the duo have racked up several releases on Dirt Crew, Heist Recordings and their own Splendor & Squalour. Now we are treated to the pair’s debut release on their eponymous new label.
B&H001 reveals Tiarnan and Conor’s dexterity; blissfully combining house music, aromas of techno, trance and smooth jazz. The EP comes to a soft cadence in the final track, ‘Clarence (Smooth Mix)’. Living up to its title, the relaxed piano line is omnipresent throughout, while a lively saxophone melody and smooth female vocal sample remain dedicated to the beat. If a late-night jazz bar was compressed into a can along with the ingredients for a satisfying house record, shaken and let loose – this would be the result.
B&H001 will be released on the 30th October.
