In a world where music is too-often encouraged to speak for itself, Nachtbraker has decided to have a bit more fun, and created a narrative around his label, that does the talking for him. Quartet Series is founded on the power of four (unsurprisingly); four releases in a series, each with four tracks from four different artists. Commissioned storyboards on the sleeve accompany the music, telling a tale of good versus evil, doing battle across the ring and in the studio.
Wrapping up the final quartet in the series, Nachbraker returns from the sidelines, accompanied by Sheffield veteran Tommy Vacari Jr and LK. We’ve picked Laurence Guy’s effort as our standout, another track to add to a glowing catalogue that combines delicate melodic touches, lush keys and deep pads. Love and be loved indeed.
