No prizes for working out the sample on this one, but then success doesn’t always lie in the obscure or hard to find. Books knows this, as does XVI Records, who have signed up the London producer for a second EP following debut release, Do // Love, six months ago. Nina Simon is handled with care, while a sparing, jazzy deep house framework meanders around it – see our recent Arnheim premiere if you’re looking for more of the same. The EP’s lead track has a bit of the Kai Alcés to it, so no wonder the test pressing was given the Moodymann endorsement a few weeks back. Anything good enough for the 313 is good enough for us.
Feel It In My Bones EP is out 28th November – pre-order from Bandcamp.
