Bloc. to host new daytime programme of workshops, interviews and panel discussions in partnership with London Electronic Music Event.
Bloc. have just announced an exiting new partnership with London Electronic Music Event (LEME), which will see the festival add two days of workshops, interviews and panel discussion to the programme this year. Presented at The Cinema, there will be discussion on topics including Party Politics – the impacts of legislation on the electronic music scene chaired by the Night Time Industries Association, or a look at the issue of Equal representation – a panel discussion on diversity in electronic music with Jane Fitz.
Carl Craig, Ansome and DeFeKT will take their audience into the word of Modular Love, teaming up with London Modular for a live demonstration and discussion. Resident Advisor will take over the LEME Cinema for a live edition of their Exchange series with Detroit’s DJ Bone.
With the artist bill already filled with a host of great names – Thom Yorke, Four Tet, Jeff Mills, Floating Points and MDCE among others – this new non-musical dimension will only enrich the Bloc experience. Exploring the creative, technical and business sides of the story, LEME’s programme looks to connect artists and industry with the grassroots of electronic music culture.
