Due on Breach’s Naked Naked imprint later this month, Brighton’s Lorca readies a three-tracker of dynamic, punchy dance material lead by strong synth melodies. With this being his third outing on the label, following affiliations with Church and 2020 Midnight Vision, Lorca must be doing something right. Ahead of the release, we’re delighted to premiere ‘Malta Kano’, a track with the cinematic dancefloor feel of Innervisions releases, lead by stormy synths reminiscent of Denis Sulta’s ‘L.A.Ruffgarden’.
The heavyweight hiss of the hi-hats make this one a real head-swinger, ideal for peak time delivery. Starting off in the distance, the moody riff quickly fills the space like a blanket of clouds before the unrelenting kick breaks them up. When the beat slams back into action, the track is brought to life, whipping the storm up into a frenzy.
