For the most part of any year Studio Spaces on Pennington Street lies surreptitiously in the depths of East London. As autumn comes its doors are flung open painting its walls amber and summoning a beastly foray of musical talent. So far this season Jeff Mills, Levon Vincent, Move D, Erol Alkan and Dixon have all passed through their doors, with a dizzying array still to come.
Next up is the recently-announced herculean all-night b2b with Joy Orbison and Ben UFO. Sparring for seven hours, with nothing else billed, it will be a journey worthy of the night’s mythological heritage.
Looking further afield, their most recent announcement hones in on the new year. Bugged Out take charge of NYE, with Julio Bashmore, Derrick Carter, Shanti Celeste and Dan Beaumont, while the following night Electric Minds nurse sore heads with John Talabot, Âme (Live), Move D, Axel Boman, Jeremy Underground and Marcus Worgull.
