STW & Rhythm Junction host White Material, Damiano von Erckert & Henry Wu in Brighton

Stamp The Wax and Rhythm Junction bring DJ Richard, Galcher Lustwerk, Damiano von Erckert and Henry Wu to Patterns on 25th September

A few months ago an email dropped in our inbox from the esteemed south coast music heads Rhythm Junction, inviting us to do a little party together at their new Brighton home, Patterns. Anticipating the itchy feet we’d be getting after festival season, we jumped at the opportunity, especially given some of Rhythm Junction’s previous guests. Hunee, DVS1, Livity Sound, Mo Kolours, Dixon Avenue Basement Jams, Idle Hands and Dan Shake have all come to Brighton on their invitation, so we were confident that we could come up with something special together. After sitting on this for a few weeks, we’re dead happy to reveal the full lineup.

Upstairs, Rhythm Junction present a White Material showcase with co-founder DJ Richard and one of the label’s shining lights, Galcher Lustwerk. After meeting at the Rhode Island School of Design and moving to New York with Young Male, they released their first record in 2012. It received massive support from Berlin’s Hard Wax and it wasn’t long before their ‘Working Man’s Techno’ had become some of the most talked about releases of the year. In support is recent STW Brighton Spotlight guest Mehtola.

Downstairs we’re hosting two of our favourite names. Since the release of his 2013 album Love Based MusicDamiano von Erckert has been a listen-on-sight producer for us. Working alongside Max Graef, Glenn Astro, Tito Wun, Imyrmind, Hodini in a marvelous melting pot of creativity, Damiano brings a feel-good attitude to his disco-infused house productions that matches his cheeky persona.

In strong support is a key member of 22a, the South London collective that rivals Damiano’s crew for our constant adoration. Henry Wu, has had a quite sensational last 12 months, releasing a treasure trove of beats, ozzing in jazz, funk and soul. Both talented musicians and producers in their own right, their taste in other peoples’ music is equally as exceptional and we can’t wait to see what they bring to the south coast.

Brighton debuts across the board and tickets for this one are a cool £7.50, peanuts for this kind of lineup! Find out more and grab tickets at the facebook event.
