Some quality archival footage of the first news report on house music from 1986 has recently surfaced and we’re very much enjoying it over at Stamp HQ.
Journalist Jay Levin reports on the music, which at the time was making waves moving out of the “south side dance clubs” and “north side juice bars” it had been confined to in the States. The footage also captures some great scenes of Farley Jackmaster Funk and his crew making a demo of the Steve “Silk” Hurley classic ‘Jack Your Body’. Check it out above.
