Stamp The Wax was in strong attendance at Farr Festival 2015 last weekend, both in official reporting capacity and off duty. Crew members were plenty spread out amongst the five stages over the weekend and with a line up this good, it was always inevitable that some great discoveries would be made.
From residents playing to small handfuls of people in the early afternoon, to peak time sets from international DJs, taste was flying through the air throughout the three days. Shanti Celeste and Dan Shake opened the weekend nicely at our stage on Thursday. Mr Ties took us on a 3 1/2 hour journey, even jumping on the mic at one point. Tom Trago closed the main stage on Friday, donned in a flowery golf cap. NTS Radio took over This Must Be The Place with some of their most capable DJs. Hunee blessed us with another flawless display, after Pender Street Steppers got down with hundreds of luminous maracas. DJ Koze blew us away with two hours of the ice-cold techno he’d promised us.
Before our full review drops tomorrow, here’s 50 tracks that caught our ears over the weekend and had us dancing from start to finish. Salute to all the DJs who gave us the fodder for our musical cannons.
