Premiere: Shaolin Colour Cult – Shadow Moses

The latest transmission from the Blah Blah Blah Records camp continues their remit to put out quality electronic music of various forms, with the debut record of Brighton-based producer Shaolin Colour Cult.

‘Shadow Moses’ is a short but sweet piece of blissed-out electronica that evokes images of expansive landscapes through subtle touches. Driven by drums reminiscent of Mount Kimbie’s earlier work, the producer layers distant guitar with submerged organ chords and synth flourishes, all coming to a reverb-drenched climax before subtly dying away again and leaving you reaching for the rewind button. As suitable soundtracking early mornings as lonely late nights, ‘Shadow Moses’ is a great opening statement from a producer to keep an eye on.
