Hot on the heels of her critically acclaimed debut album, 25 year old Bulgarian neo-soul artist Ruth Koleva seems to be keeping the standard high with a collection of remixes by some of the most respected names in the electronic world. Her Rhythm Slave Remix Album features some of the most excitingly left-field producers around at the moment, including Kaidi Tatham, Mark De Clive Lowe and Maddskinky to name but a few.
Following the premiere of her Eric Lau remix on Boiler Room Debuts last week, today we bring you the video premiere hot off the visual press. In Ruth’s own words:
“The video was shot by a team of design, make up and style artists that I work with – Bianca Hinova, Slav Anastasov and Huben Hubenov. It was filmed during rehearsals for the concert I had with the Bulgarian Philharmonic Orchestra. It was one of the most successful concerts in Bulgaria this year and was sold out weeks before with more than 1500 people in attendance. I organised everything myself and it was one of the most stressful times in my life but I am glad we captured everything and how something so demanding can be transformed into beautiful music.”
Rhythm Slave Remix Album is out 27th July. Catch Eric Lau performing at Dimensions Festival in Croatia this summer.
