Embezzlement Society – Represent

Nothing quite beats the feeling of stumbling on a tidy SoundCloud gem, and today’s find is a perfect way to kick off June, the joyous month that only promises heatwaves and Wimbledon. Courtesy of Belfast’s Embezzlement Society, ‘Represent’ is a lush slice of laid back jazzy-house à la St. Germain, complete with a wandering bass line and a subtle hint of flute that manages not to stretch into Ron Burgundy territory. Coinciding perfectly with the time of year where parties move out of basements and on to rooftops and courtyards, we hope to hear this one with some sunglasses on and a reassuringly expensive cocktail in hand.

Released by the nascent Belgian label House Running alongside tracks from London’s Deced and Paris’ Meemo, you can stream and download all tracks from the EP here.
