April marks yet another headstrong release from London-based producer, Throwing Snow (also known as Ross Tones). After being premiered in Jamie XX and Four Tet’s BBC Essential Mix last month, the single’s title track ‘Lumen’ stands out in all its shimmering luminescence.
Having recently been busy on the road with his collaborative Snow Ghosts project alongside Augustus Ghost, Ross’ return to solo production is warmly greeted by those of us whose loyalties have not floundered since the ‘too polite to say we wanna do it‘ drum’n’bass-drenched days, or perhaps even a year before.
‘Lumen’ is the first track taken from the Lumen EP, out now via Houndstooth and available to buy on iTunes.
