Later this month, we are returning to a brand new space in Bristol to put on a party with our good friends and supreme party starters, Shapes. Making waves in the West of late, Shapes have curated many a knees-up that we’ve been lucky enough to be at, so it was only a matter of time before we joined forces. Topping the bill, we’ve invited Fred P to bring his hypnotic selection for us. As a label boss, producer and DJ, Fred (aka Black Jazz Consortium) has been a longstanding flag bearer for the huge movement of electronic musicians from NYC.
Alongside him we have West London boy Funkineven, whose acid-leaning machine funk has found a home on Eglo and also seen him collaborating with Kyle Hall (as FunkinEvil) and setting up his own label Apron. Berlin-based New Yorker, Anthony Naples, also joins, whose unconventional take on laid back disco-infused has seen releases on Mister Saturday Night, Trilogy Tapes and, most recently, on Four Tet’s TEXT, for his debut album.
A Party Curated by Stamp The Wax and Shapes takes place on the 27th March. Get your tickets for the event here.
