Starting strong back in 2012 with their ‘Blame It On The Youth‘ EP, Voyeur (a.k.a Benson Herbert and Leo Pickling) were quick to be recognised for their prodigious talents on the UK house circuit. Their debut caught the ears of New Jersey deep house originator Kerri Chandler, who has since taken the London-based duo under his wing and onto both his Madtech and Madhouse imprints (home to Roy Ayers, Citizen and Walter Ego).
Setting the bar high for 2015, the duo are now returning with their soul-steeped Tonight EP. The release brings four extended grooves lacquered with warm tones and mesmerising bounce – guaranteed rocket fuel to light up any dancefloor.
We are lucky enough to be premiering the dangerously hypnotic ‘Philae & Rosetta’ taken from the upcoming release, a six-minute spectacle of clouded jazzy tones and crisp drum hits that cut through like butter. A stirring piano teases in and out as the track slowly undresses itself, revealing low-pass layers and spaced-out textures that keep you in a state of sedated nostalgia. This is one to get lost in and not want to find your way out of.
Tonight EP is available now on vinyl over on Madhouse. Pre-order the digi release on iTunes (due to drop on 6th April).
