IMYRMIND is undoubtedly one of our top discoveries of the last year. His releases with the likes of Glenn Astro and Max Graef on outfits such as WotNot, Tartelet and Box aus Holz, have been consistently deep and never afraid of a serious beat. On the glorious forthcoming Marcy Ave EP from Melbourne-dwelling M5K, he treats us again with an astral remix of an audaciously funk-laden joint.
The Ford Capri is said to have been a classic in its heyday and, with a no messing straight-to-the-dancefloor arrogance, IMYRMIND’s edit customises the original ride with some extra suspension. A superb reconstruct of a Dam Funk-esque (on a Barry White tip) G-funk groove (which, in fact, feels more like a Ford Mustang) suspends your futuristic ride even higher. IMYRMIND will have hips moving that little bit faster, while graciously maintaining those nodding heads. Sounds like the birth of a new dance craze!
