The legendary Nigerian saxophonist, Orlando Julius, has collaborated with the UK-based psychedelic jazz group, the Heliocentrics, on his latest album Jaiyede Afro. This is an exquisitely vibrant afrobeat project which takes us back to Orlando’s roots. ‘Buje Buje’ is seeped in sonic flavour, spicing up the winter months by fusing afro-percussion, soulful chants and psychedelic jazz riffs into this hypnotic 8-minute piece.
