Premiere: Soccer96 – Flight Formation (Glenn Astro DJ Friendly Edit)

WotNot Music add yet another exciting release to their strong catalogue with an EP from Soccer96 whose storming performance on BBC Introducing for 6Music’s Steve Lamacq will linger in people’s memories. But to make sure you haven’t forgotten, the intense two-piece (Danalogue on synths and Betamax on drums) from Brighton and London return with their Jupiter Masterdrive EP, displaying their exquisite mastery in combining live instrumentation with deep electronic fundamentals.

We are proud to premiere the psychedelic yet meditative Glenn Astro edit of ‘Flight Formation’ featuring bassist Swann Hunter. Astro stays loyal to the original, tweaking attentively but extending its length, something that the original was crying out for to make it dancefloor-friendly. Hypnotic cross-rhythm synths and the bass drum’s kick align with Hunter’s warm post-summer bass guitar riff. The intense whirring of crescendos work together to transfix both your body and mind.

Jupiter Masterdrive EP is out now and available in 7″ or digital format via the WotNot Bandcamp now. Glenn Astro plays at the next Stamp The Wax Bristol party (12th December) at Wilder Studios. For remaining tickets, check the FB event.
