What did you do on your 9th Birthday? As wild as it may have been, Just Jack have laid out their plans that have certainly upped the ante in the Birthday Game – yes there will be clowns, this time with their own bar and motto (“you ain’t a clown you ain’t comin’ in!”), and no expense has been spared for the musical chairs selectors.
The Techno Titan that is Derrick May has finally been lured to Motion, sure to be warmed up by the hottest warm-up DJ (sorry) the UK has to offer in the shape of Craig Richards, the man who has held the helm of the good ship Fabric for countless years.
Next door will be be a live performance from Mr G, an entertainer as much as a musical powerhouse who’s live shows can get wonderfully out of hand. He’ll be joined by Germany’s other royals, Ryan Elliot and Tama Sumo of the Ostgut Ton family.
Last but not least, the Tunnel line-up looks set to have the walls shaking and the humidity off the charts, thanks to Glaswegian stalwarts Optimo and Berlin’s Mr Ties. Optimo are no strangers to looking after a tightly packed crowd of sweaty dancers, gaining legendary status for their sets in Glasgow’s SubClub, whilst the last time Mr Ties was DJing in Bristol he ended up stripping to his underwear – dress to sweat for this one!
Just Jack residents Tom Rio and Dan Wild round out the musical line-up, and on the entertainment side expect Bristol’s best party decorators to spare no expense once again, as well as a welcome return of the least helpful shaman Mystic Greg and Club Tropicana (where sadly drinks aren’t free).
