K15 – Bordeaux EP (W/ Glenn Astro remix)

London based producer and DJ K15 brings it with a serious dose of soul on his second EP on Wotnot Music. Starting things off with the title track, ‘Bordeaux’ is a slow swung house joint with synth runs that echo Glenn Underground and a grooving bass line that, when slowed down, would not sound out of place in a Billy Cobham jam. Kaidi Tatham gives the cut his unmistakable broken beat feel with a good helping of afro-latin percussion, swerving rhythms and keys solos. Glenn Astro & IMYRMIND then add a bit of edge and bounce with their grittier club take on the second edit (in full below). Ending on a steady mover for that low lit dance floor of flashing profiles with ‘Hall of Memories’, this EP has something for all moods on the floor.

Bordeaux is out now on Wotnot Music, available from Juno, on vinyl and digitally. Catch K15 tonight in London at Friday Night Shapes, alongside Thris Tian and Blackfoot Phoenix. Free before 10.
