John Morales: Five Favourites

On the radio, in the record stores and on the dancefloor of the 1980s, John Morales was omnipresent. Working predominately with studio partner Sergio Munzibai they helped define the disco era and influenced future generations of DJs, producers and artists. M&M productions have over 650 mixes to their name (including Jocelyn Brown, The Temptations, Tina Turner, Aretha Franklin, Hall & Oats, Candi Staton and Billy Ocean), surely making them one of the most prolific remix partnerships of all time. Still going strong today as a DJ and curator of compilations, we’re delighted to present some of John’s favourite records: “five tracks I don’t leave home without, the versions I play out  are a bit tweaked up from the original – sped up, edited and just made to be for me so come and hear them in person!”

Catch John Morales plays Stevie Wonderland in Manchester on 16th October. More info and tickets here.
