Earlier this year, The Hydra announced a series of 12 parties running during the Autumn of 2014 at their recently acquired residence at Studio Spaces E1. They’ve bagged a host of amazing collaborations to keep the dancefloors moving week-in-week-out, including Omar S’s FXHE Records, Erased Tapes and Ostgut Ton, and it promises to test the will power, if not wallets, of even the most well-seasoned party goers. A line-up that is forcing its way to the forefront of our mind spaces comes from the marriage with Sound Signature and Running Back Records, thundering in at the back end of the series.
From the Sound Signature team comes their fearless leader and master of all things groove, Theo Parrish, Detroit veteran and 3 chairs compatriot Marcellus Pittman, and Motor City young gun Jay Daniel. The most recent addition of Motor City Drum Ensemble, is just another ace in the pack, not to mention Maurice Fulton. It’s easy to see why we are already so excited, and that’s before we introduce the Running Back contingent. Live sets come from the mysterious disco and boogie edit royals Tiger & Woods and the unpredictable, red-masked Redshape; not forgetting Lauer completing that disco house sound. This is one not to be missed.
