Simple Things celebrates its fourth birthday this October, and marks the occasion by assembling its biggest, baddest and best line-up to date. Last year’s makeover of the festival, led by the Crack Magazine team, has transformed Simple Things into an unstoppable force. The newly announced headline acts of 2014 include cult figure DJ Harvey, whose reputation has continued to grow since the mid-1980s, and Glaswegian post-punk band Mogwai, whose music has upheld the bridge of sonority between acoustic and electronic musics.

Besides these phenomenal forerunners, the remaining acts pack an equally ferocious punch, ranging from the wonky grooves of Kode9 and Nightmares on Wax, sonic infiltration by producer to rap royalty Evian Christ, Laurel Halo‘s avant pop and Bristol’s homegrown Oliver Wilde. Other highlights include L.I.E.S boss Ron Morelli, house and disco wonderkid Max Graef and man of the moment Seven Davis Jr. Be swift to buy your ticket as online stockists have already reached the £30 tier.

The line-up so far is as follows: DJ Harvey / Mogwai / Zomby / Evian Christ / The Haxan Cloak / Nightmares on Wax / Onra / DJ Sprinkles / Eagulls / Kode9 / DVS1 / Laurel Halo / Hidden Orchestra / Turbowolf / Max Graef / Ron Morelli / Scratcha DVA / Esben & The Witch / Thought Forms / Seven Davis Jr. / Cooly G / Oliver Wilde / Svengalisghost / DJ October / God Damn / Eaux / Lovepark / Bad Breeding / Terekke / Eugene Quell
